Transdev proudly operates all light rail lines in Sydney, under contracts with Transport for NSW.
Transdev Sydney operates and maintains the L1 Dulwich Hill, L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford lines through a Public Private Partnership with ALTRAC Light Rail.
Through the Great River City Light Rail Joint Venture with CAF, Transdev operates and maintains L4 Westmead and Carlingford line.
As the provider of these light rail services, we play a critical role in connecting people across some of the fastest growing and most iconic precincts across Greater Sydney.
Our team of Journey Makers are responsible for daily service delivery, customer service, maintenance and asset management. Our goal is to ensure that our services meet the expectations of the communities we serve for safe, accessible and reliable transport.

Light rail lines at a glance
The L1 Dulwich Hill Line links the Inner West to the city, taking customers around Darling Harbour, Pyrmont and Central.
The L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines connect Circular Quay and the CBD with Surry Hills, the Entertainment Quarter and sports venues at Moore Park, UNSW, and the eastern suburbs.
The L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line connects customers to the health, education and sporting precincts across Western Sydney.

We are committed to promoting safe behaviour around the light rail network, especially among young people. Our school engagement program offers age-tailored presentations, aligned with curriculum and delivered at your school, focused on promoting safe, respectful, and fare-compliant travel and empowering students to protect themselves and others.
