Transdev’s Wellington bus services, operating as Mana Newlands Coaches, offer eight urban routes across Johnsonville, Newlands and Wellington City – as well as an all-electric Airport Express (AX) service, school and charter routes – for our client Metlink, the transport brand of Greater Wellington Regional Council.

Founded in 1984 by the Waddell Family, Mana Newlands has grown from a small bus operator to a recognisable, essential transport provider for the people of Wellington. In 2024, our fleet of 83 buses and 123 Journey Makers provided more than 2.4 million trips for Wellingtonians.

Our buses transport passengers from the suburbs to the city seven days a week, with timetables conveniently aligned with train arrival and departure times.
