Sydney’s ferry fleet is as diverse as the journeys it makes. We maintain over 35 vessels across eight vessel classes.
From the iconic Freshwater-class ferries, our largest and longest-serving vessels that have carried generations of commuters and visitors to Manly, to the beloved First Fleeters to the modern catamarans of the Emerald Class introduced from 2017, and our newer ferries like the River Class and Parramatta Class, every ferry plays a role in keeping Sydney moving.
Day to day maintenance and repairs of our vessels are managed at our Balmain Shipyard facility, where our engineering and trade teams working hard to ensure every ferry meets strict safety standards to keeping the fleet in top condition. Our passengers can enjoy a safe, smooth ride and stunning harbour views aboard well-presented, dependable ferries.
